Hello joy rebels!! This will be a quick post as I'm having computer problems but I wanted to address some of the ideas and questions I've had about this whole rebel army thing...lol.
1. What is a Joy Rebel?
to me, being a joy rebel is not about being happy all the time, though happiness is a component of joy. Being a joy rebel means being your authentic self and making those life affirming choices that bring more joy into your life. It's also about having fun and being silly. It also means honoring all emotions. Having a bad day and making the choice to pound on a pillow and then take a bath if that's what you really need is about joy. It may not feel like it but I've realized that I can't fully feel joy if I don't fully feel the rest of it. But then, as a joy rebel, you get to decide what that means for you too.
2. What about these mission things?
I'll post them every monday. Many of missions will simply be about having fun. I mean, it sounds so simple but often, I think we turn connecting with joy into work instead of play. The goal of many of the missions then, it to get back to that playful side of ourselves as I think we naturally connect with joy then. However, some of the missions will go deeper, challenging us to find the joy in various situations by figuring out what works for each one of us. I truly do not think we can connect with joy unless we are truly honest with what we need and want and about who we are and how we want to show up in the world.
3. how do you come up with these missions?
honestly, a lot of it is just stuff I'd like to do or think would be fun. You can also create missions! Just email me and give me your idea and I'll post it! My email is brandi [at] brandireynoldsphoto [dot] com
4. Can we have a badge for our blogs?
Yep! There are a couple on my side bar. Just copy and link them to this post
5. Who can join?
You can. Hey, this isn't about creating some exclusive club with membership requirements. If you feel ready to live more fully in your life, have some fun and connect with others, then you are a joy rebel. Welcome to the rebellion, we have cookies. :-)
6. Do I have to do all the missions?
Nope. Do the ones you like, get started any time. Like I said, this is about having fun and if drawing 'joy' on a side of the building with chalk isn't fun for you, then I say honor that! However, I also think you may surprise yourself so if something isn't for you right away...my suggestion is try it, see if you like. Ya never know!
I love the questions and feedback and am always open to connect with others so by all means, feel free to add to them with comments or by emailing me at brandi [at] brandireynoldsphoto [dot] com. Having said that, until I get these computer problems straightened out, I may be slow in answering for the next couple of days.
May you all have a joyfully rebellious day and look for a post on monday!!!
