joy rebel interviews:: goddess leonie

Yep, you read that right folks. The gorgeous goddess leonie is visiting the blog today! Many of you know of her inspiring, encouraging and creative presense. I have known Leonie via the web for a few years now and I'm telling you, her joy is infectious and it's the real deal. If I am ever fortunate enough to meet her in person, she better get used to a small texas girl hanging on to her leg and petting her hair.

1. Let's start with the most important question. Who are you?? Ha! Seriously, tell us a little about yourself and what you do.

Woo! I'm Goddess Leonie, and I believe that there is a wise, beautiful Goddess inside each of us. I create e-courses, art, workshops and do oracle card readings/coaching sessions to help women discover and celebrate the Goddess inside them.

2. I've watched your creative journey blossom beautifully for a few years now. Do you have any advice for anyone on a creative path?

I just did a career guidance video this week actually... this might explain it better! It's for younger creative goddesses and older ones who are working out what they want to do :)



3. Do you have stuck moments? And if so, what are some things you've found helpful to get unstuck?

Holy dinger yes! In fact, I'm having one right now. I'm ignoring having to transfer my website over to a bigger server by responding to interview questions. hee hee hee!

Leonie's happy list of getting unstuck:
1. Go outside. Touch the earth with your hands, let the wind kiss your face. Mama earth is very healing.

2. Check out my little thingy 10 Ways to fly beyond Creative dream fears and frustrations. It's my love-letter-reminder-to-myself when I get stuck.

3. I rave on about Zen to Done a lot on my blog, but that little gem of an e-book has saved me a whole lot of annoying time spent distracting myself, and more time enjoying productive times.

4. Throughout the years, you've always come across as genuinely, uniquely Leonie. How important is it to you to be authentic?

Everytime I forget myself, I feel uck. Everytime I compare myself to anyone else, I feel uck. Whenever I forget that I have beautiful gifts, wisdom and energy of my own to sit in, enjoy and share, I feel uck.

Being authentic = not feeling uck.

Being authentic = loving my job of being the best Leonie I can be.

5. How do you stay true to who you are?

I'm totally in a list mood today.

1.} I listen to my intuition.
2.} I don't hang out with people, read blogs or books, or watch movies that don't totally fill me up with inspiration and feeling good about myself.
3.} I trust that I have really deep gifts to share, and that my voice is the right one to share them.

6. What does Joy mean to you?

hee! Brandiliscious, as you know, I've been saying "Joy is an option" for years now. It still stands.

Joy for me is a tick box I get to select when I wake up, when I go to work, when I talk to people, when I get huffy, when I come home, when I get to sleep.

I'm always getting to re-choose whether I want to tick it or not.

In my joy scientific research, I've found I have way more fun when I tick the box.

7. What are some ways you connect with joy in your life?

Everyday is a chance to make joy happen.

As my amazing grandma says "Well darling, I woke up this morning, and I was still breathing, so I thought 'Today is going to be a GREAT day!'" My grandma is rad.

8. Have you always been this awesome?

Yes.

And we always have been.

You and me and every gorgeous goddess on this planet.

We have awesome in our genes.



9. Anything coming up in Leonie world that you'd like to share?

Mother of God yes! I just ran a Creative Goddess e-course a couple of months ago for 150 gorgeous goddesses around the planet... and I'm dreaming up some new wild, delicious, soulful and creative offerings as I type.
