shiny, happy leaves, nikon d50 digital
I will totally own that this week's mission is prompted by an opportunity of my own. The lovely Jan over at awake is good has interviewed me and that interview will be on her site next tuesday (6/16). We had originally planned to have a giveaway as well-any print in my etsy shop in early celebration of joy rebel day.
Then Jan came up with the idea of introducing a special 'joy' print as the giveaway. Doesn't she rock? I think that's an awesome idea. Aaaaannnndddd...I have no idea how I'm going to do it...lol.
So my mission will be to find joy and photography it in a special way. And I invite you to look for joy in your world this week as well (the word 'joy', the expression of joy-however you interpret it!). I find that whenever I put out an intention like this, the universe provides in such fun and interesting ways.
So happy missioning, joy rebels-may you find joy is all sorts of ways!!!
p.s. I had another photo of a bridal shoot I did over the weekend up and then realized her soon to be hubs may stumble across this site. That's okay, the leaves are all shiny happy too. :-)

After driving home from a long school day in the absolute pouring rain, I was happy to see my husband's car here. And it was theeee best when I got inside and he said "Didn't you get my voicemail? I took a half day. Let's watch a movie!" A cozy afternoon movie on the couch while it rained outside. Joy.
Joy in all sorts of ways - well, that sure sounds fun!! And so open-ended, it's something we can really go in any direction our heart desires (and isn't that cool in itself!).
I live across the street from a park where little kids play. And it's not just the playing that's fun. It's listening to them laugh and laugh and laugh. I don't have to be by my window to receive their joy - it just comes in and I can hear it in whichever room I'm in.
Thanks for posting the announcement, Brandi. I am so looking forward to your visit. I will post the announcement on my blog later this week! I can't wait to see what you photograph for JOY! I do love the bride's photo. The look on her face is pure joy! xxoo
