my current fave tee...necklace from Stacy.

no offense, but boog could really give a crap about joy rebel day. This is him during his post breakfast, pre afternoon nap. Also, he would like you to know that it's a BLANKET, not a blankie. Thank you.

Then I met my friend Regina to eat lunch and take some more photos for the exhibit I'll be doing later on this year. Below are a couple of my faves...

By the way, did I tell you guys that I chopped off 8 inches of hair??

The day ended with a talk with Cirkla girl on her blogradio show. You can listen here if you'd like. Thank you Lance and Darrah for calling in to chat!!!
I have loved reading your stories of joy rebel day, either on your blog or in the comments section. It has been really inspiring to see all the different ways that people celebrate and embrace joy.
May every day be a choice to celebrate joy~

I like it! It goes well with your glasses. And hey, it's about doing your thing - joy rebel-ly isn't it!
It was great talking to you, Amy, and Darrah yesterday - way awesome! Remember the cheers...on second thought, I'm sure that was everyone's excitement over Joy Rebel Day! I'm going with that - the timing just fits too well!
Awesome thing you've got going on here, Brandi! Today...the world's a better place - and that's because YOU have started something pretty special! Rock on, my friend...
the haircut is super cute!
i listened in on part of your interview last night! great job!
Lance-I am beyond honored with that compliment. thank you deeply.
leah-thanks! I'm still getting used to it. :-)
Hello Brandi,
I visit your blog regularly because it really gives me a lift! I'm sorry I don't comment, but, believe me, I'm paying attention.
I've also joined in on Lisa and Leonie's De-clutter group, but seem to be stuck. Lots of "outside noise" keeping me from becoming completely involved... but I haven't given up hope.
I was given a Beautiful Blog Award and was so pleased, I could hardly contain myself! Guess it doesn't take much to amuse me!!!
So, the Award is over at my blog and I'd love to share it with you.
I love that you said, "May every day be a choice to celebrate joy."

The new cut is super cute! Sassy!
I would so enjoy a quesadilla and guac with you! (and my honey makes the very best salsa ... ever ... so I'd at least bring that to contribute. :)
your JOY filled pictures made me feel warm and fuzzy.
What a cute haircut! I wish I could do that but I'd look like a guy, I think. Boog's photo is awesome as well. Great pics! Happy 4rth...
I love this idea! And, I love your hair!
So I have to tell you something really funny. I just clicked on your link to your friend Regina and realized that this is the SAME sight that I just ordered a bracelet from this am! She wrote me an email to say she included earrings too. I found her while searching for bracelets!
barb-no requirements to comment. I am so glad my blog is uplifting for you.
grey street-thank you!
muse-you are your honey are welcome-especially with yummy salsa! ;-)
mamma zen-thanks!
julie-oh hooray! I'm so glad you got something from regina. I did most of her photography so I've played with her jewelry a lot and I can say that her stuff is even more beautiful and high quality in person.
I was called away and couldn't listen to your interview but I will listen to it on the archives. I do hope it was a blast for you.
Ok, now for the quesadillas. Do you share your recipe? I make them and they always end up a little dry. I'd love to taste yours. Your day sounds lovely and it must have been fun to chop off that hair, too. I did mine last summer, at least 10 inches and it was so freeing. You look FREE! And very cute, that goes without saying. :-)
Oh I love your haircut!! And a tad bit jealous..my hair is about the same length but instead of laying so nicely like yours, it tends to take the shape of a large tumbleweed around my face!!
Plus, I adore--simply ADORE the photo of the turquoise door. I have a thing for doors. Years ago I did a huge series of door paintings.
For my Joy Rebel day celebration I picked up drawing again..and started with drawing my broken Buddha head! It took me back about 15 years to when all I used to do was draw!!
Thank you Brandi...for being you!
Peace & Love.
Aweswome Brandi! My week has been packed full of joy....Loving summer!
I love your pic of the turquoise door and the brick wall....gorgeous!!!
I'm not sure who I love best...you with the new hair or the dog with those eyes...ok...TIE !
What a great idea! I missed it this time but I'll just be in naturally because I'm out joying around everyday! Love the blog and love the hair cut.
You day was absolutely gorgeous! I loved peeking at all of your beautiful photos, Brandi!
And, your precious doggie (not a blankie, LOL!!!!) is so adorable, I want to snuggle up next to him!
You rock, Joy Rebel Commander ;)
