It was a magical experience. And stressful, and exhausting. And not without drama.
I cherish every single moment of our wedding process and am so grateful that I got to look into my husband's eyes and pledge to be his partner. But I have to say, renewing our vows at the little white wedding chapel in las vegas was so freaking fun!!!

That night, we decided to visit freemont street, the older section of vegas with vintage hotels like the golden nugget, prior to the 'ceremony'. I have to say, I think I prefer that part of vegas opposed to the strip. While it's still over the top neon, the vibe is much more casual and laid back. We enjoyed a great dinner then had about an hour to kill before heading down to the little white wedding chapel.
We enjoyed the sights, each bought one of those ridiculous fruity drinks and then Jason decided to spend a few minutes at the craps table. 30 minutes later, he'd turned $80 into $300 and we'd finished our drinks so we hopped into a cab and sped our way towards the chapel.

We arrived giddy and silly and excited (and slightly drunk). After signing our names on the dotted line and spending a ridiculous amount of money on a tiny bouquet, we found ourselves looking into each other's eyes once again.
The ceremony was supposed to be silly you know? We'd already committed to each and we meant it so this was just for fun. Yet when we started repeating the minister's words about recommitting to each other and how much we meant to each other, I teared up. I remembered all the moments in the past six years together (two married) when we stood by each other and supported each other. I remembered the laughter and the kind moments. The frustrations and irritations didn't come up in my memory because all of a sudden I was reminded of what was really important. And what important was standing right in front of me, looking in my eyes and saying yes all over again.
Okay, THEN we got in touch with the silly again and took some photos. :-)

When I got to the part where Jason won money gambling...I thought of the line in the song "a kiss of luck and I'm on my way."
