Valerie insisted that Donovan was fussy from a missed nap but if that's what fussy looks like, I hope I have a kid like that! The whole family was totally easy going and open to new ideas. Not to mention, Valerie and her husband are soccer enthusiasts so they and my husband (who was playing the role of baby wrangler for this shoot) had plenty to talk about.

It was so obvious to see that Valerie and her husband get such a kick out of their son. Dono was alternately smiley and inquisitive which made for a totally fun shoot as we let him explore the area filled with ducks and leaves and new sights.

Favorite! Dono's dad had scooped him up to take whatever he (Dono) was about to put in his mouth and Dono was content to just hang out upside down while his dad confiscated the offending objects. What's with kids and dogs eating whatever they see in front of them??
And it turns out that we picked the perfect time for this session as pretty much as soon as it was over, the sky opened up and started pouring. Whew!!!

That is too cute! I love your favorite pick... the world must look simply fascinating upside down in daddy's arms. Wish I could get back that chilled-out, go-with-it feeling in all circumstances. When I start to feel life is flipping me head over heels, I generally *do* get fussy ;)
It wasn't fortune - it was the result of you culling your craft and saying YES to opportunity at whatever time and place it arrives.

Oh my gosh, they are the most beautiful people I've ever seen. You got to meet them? How lucky!
Ha ha. We had a great time and I am so excited to see the rest of the photos!!
