Random Acts of Kick Arse.
Not waiting until we have more money or more free time or less stress or whatever to change the world.
Sami came up with the idea and invited myself a few fellow bloggers along for the ride.
Lance
Jane
Dani
Melissa
But it didn't end there. So many people want to be involved in changing the world one random act at a time that we'd like to extend an open invitation to play along. To share all the blogs playing along, you can go to this post by Sami and enter your blog link.
I wrote recently that last month's theme of kindness showed up most for me in needing kindness for myself. I feel like a broken record when I say I'm stressed and tired...but I'm stressed and tired. I'm not sleeping well. And usually when I reach this point, I get really frustrated. All the 'shoulds' and 'I wishes' going through my head. The fear is the biggest. The fear that I'll lose my creativity or that I'll lose momentum or..well...sometimes I'm not even sure what I'm afraid of. This time, I'm saying no when I need to and taking it slower and not scheduling a whole lot these days. I've learned that it comes back. The time, the energy, the inspiration. And I've also realized that every time I slow down, my priorities become clearer, my focus becomes sharper, my passion becomes redder.
One thing that has become more of a priority for me is beauty. Seeing it, touching it, feeling it, being it. That's this month's theme and I hope you'll come along with spreading beauty in your own lives.

Great post! It was great to read your take on RAOKA and I'm looking forward to participating in the beauty theme this month!
Great post! It is great to see what all our RAOKA posts highlight, including our own interpretations of each theme. Plus, it gave me a chance to meet you!
It's great to see your post and to see everyone's results! I love what Sami started!
See you next month for BEAUTY (and also in between!).
Peace,
Lori
Brandi, first of all, I hope you feel better and that the stress abates and the fear loosens its grip. I know all too well what you're going through, and I send you a big dose of serenity -- or as big as I can manage. (I basically succumbed to a kind of exhaustion this weekend after pushing myself too hard last week -- I could barely get out of the bed today, and everything made me sleepy.)
You won't lose whatever you're afraid of losing. How could you lose something that you *are*? And you are joyful, artistic, passionate by nature :) (I'm saying this to me, as well.)
Lovely theme. I'll see if I have energy to join in!
Love your take on the kindness theme Brandi. We can't be there for others and have energy for projects, goals and dreams if we first don't take care of ourselves. Hope you are feeling less stressed and tired soon. xxx
Great idea - this project! Love it! All the awareness brought to the virtues is great medicine! Keep it up - you rock!
May the fact that you've chosen to notice beauty draw more and more of it into your life!
