honoring.

flare, frost and bokeh

I want to take a moment to remember my friend John.

One year ago today I got the call I'd been dreading for three weeks-John had passed away of cancer.

In honor of John and his wife Christine and his son Joey, I lit three candles. One to honor their spirits, one to honor their journey together and one to honor Christine and Joey's continuing journey.

Thank you, John, for your friendship.

what a sweet and deeply meaningful post. thank you for sharing this. several people in my life have passed away from cancer in last few months and i have a dear friend surviving breast cancer. cancer sucks but it reminds me to live intentionally because life is precious and no one knows about their tomorrows.

Oh, honey, I can still feel your grief. That photo is so beautiful, and my heart goes out to you and to your friends who continue their journey without their beloved husband and father.
