our new foster, atticus
Okay, so I know it's supposed to be mission monday but we just got our newest foster and I wanted to share him with you instead. The missions will resume next week.
He wandered up to someone's house, skinny and dirty, with no identification. He's kind of shy and unassertive (basically the exact opposite of what you'll usually see in a weim personality) but still trusting and ready to cuddle.
Those old soul eyes just kill me.
I don't know what his story is but with those ribs sticking out and lack of identification...well...those are usually not signs of a good life. It always amazes me how willing animals can be to still trust and love and accept their circumstances even if/when their past wasn't pleasant.
We are fostering him for the Weimaraner rescue until he can find a forever home. If you or anyone you know would like to adopt this sweetie, please contact them.
Atticus says thank you. :-)

Awww... I want him! Look at that face and those soulful eyes. I hope he gets the bestest forever home in the whole entire world, and spends the rest of his life on a comfy couch with all the chewy bones his little heart desires.
Linda-I know!!!! He really is just a big sweetie...
I am glad he has you to foster him and get those ribs back under a thick, glossy coat. You're right about the eyes being "old soul." He looks like he has seen much -- and much of it sad. :(
awwww... makes me miss my weim (god rest siggy's soul). he's sounds great! have fun loving him up.
Oh, what a gorgeous baby. I wish I lived near you so I could come love on him!
Atticus is lucky to have you. He looks like such a love. I wish for him the bestest best home ever.
