photos I've been loving from my flickr friends
1. drive up the local gas station after work, grumbling under your breath about how you should have gotten gas this morning instead of waiting for the tank to be just about empty. And that you wish you were home right now. And that you have a headache. And your feet hurt. And who schedules hour and half meeting at 4pm anyway?
2. Pull up to the pump and start filling your car with murderous petroleum and wonder how you could ever find a way to live without using up a resource that is not only finite but is also currently killing life in the gulf.
3. Add a little extra guilt trip for good measure.
4. Hear singing and turn to see a very large, very intimidating looking black man singing at the top of his lungs to Faith Hill's 'this kiss'.
5. Feel a smile come across your face and the desire to drop the crummy mood at your feet because this stranger is not letting anything get in the way of his joy.
6. Start singing along with the guy and see him smile in acknowledgement.
7. Wave to each other as he pulls away and feel like you somehow made a friend.
8. Get in car feeling much better about the world.

I love unexpected moments like these. I've been grumbly all week. Now I'm thinking all I needed was a trip to the gas station.

Great post! Thanks for including my umbrella lady photo in the mosaic!
Your photos are gorgeous. Love the hula hoop!! I love when I have a moment where I can choose to let go of the aggravation and go for the humor and joy instead! It makes me feel like I conquered a piece of my own evolution.
